As promised, here is my first Balsamroot of the season. The Balsamroot is native to the Western US. In Oregon, it grows in the highlands of the dryer areas of the Eastern Columbia Gorge.

I will be trying next weekend to get more pictures. I want to go to the Catherine Creek area of Washington, and to Dalles Mountain Ranch. Pictures will follow.
