Summer is here!
It’s infrared season once again. Warm weather came late to the Pacific Northwest this year. That doesn’t happen often, but having a more temperate June was welcome. Now that July is here, I stocked up with infrared film, and took the infrared camera out on two consecutive days. Day one was to the Columbia Gorge, and day two was to the Willamette Valley. Here are a few of the resulting pictures.

I took a drive through some small Willamette Valley towns in late June, and I revisited some buildings that I photographed in 2013.

The substantial awning that used to be affixed to this building is now gone, but the rest of it looks much the same as when I photographed it in 2013. I’d say it needs some work.

In 2013, this old church looked much worse. It still doesn’t look like it’s being used, but the paint looks better.

In late June, I visited Silver Falls with only one camera.

On a trip to the Washington Coast, I stopped by the Ilwaco Marina to photograph the boats. I had been there to photograph the Cape Disappointment Lighthouse, but the tide was out, so I settled for the marina instead.

Those are my first infrared images of the season. There will be more coming, including some film images.
Thanks for looking!
